Thumbs are "Handy"

We just got back from our brief Winter Break and continued with our study of the Human Body. We learned that one thing that sets us apart from other animals is our opposable thumb.
So, we decided to see what it would be like to not have our thumbs. Short of chopping them off, we choose to tape ours to our forefinger(s). Here is a short video of some not-so-simple tasks, as we soon found out!

What may be difficult for you to read at the end of our video are our results as to the level of difficulty of the task. We had the students rate, on a scale of 1 to 10, how hard the job was to do.
