How's Your Reflex?

I started out this lesson with a challenge. I told the students that if they could catch the dollar before it hit the floor they could have it for ice cream at lunch today. Luckily, I didn't have to pay up! :)

When then created a way to test and register a child's reflex action using a dowel and a pre-marked sheet attached that allowed us to measure their reflex time in milliseconds.
