What Kind of Joint is this??

Today, we learned about the different types of joints in the human body. We looked at some examples of ball and socket joints and hinge joints in models of chicken and rodent bones.
We identified the different types of joints using our skeleton poster we call Skelator...
Next, we made working models of knee and ankle joints using dowels for bones, rubber bands to represent the muscles, paper clips for tendons, and rubber tubing as the actual joints.
By contracting the rubber bands, demonstrating how muscles work, we were able to make our models work much like the actual human body!
